Professor Duan has successfully undertaken projects through 10 terms, which have been supported by the National Natural Science Fund committee, and six local legislation compilation projects of Jilin provincial people's congress and the department of ecology and environment. Basing on project completed penned the Jilin province the six local regulations,  the Jilin province regulations on the prevention and control of atmospheric pollution , the black soil in Jilin province protection ordinance , the Jilin province Liao river basin water environment protection ordinance , the Jilin province ecological environment protection ordinance (draft), the Jilin province motor vehicle exhaust pollution control ordinance (draft), the Jilin province for the prevention and control of environmental pollution by hazardous waste regulations (draft). She has written related policies such as Jilin province comprehensive administrative law enforcement rules for ecological environmental protection (draft), Jilin province interim measures for reporting and rewarding illegal behaviors in ecological environment (draft), etc., and has published more than 30 papers.
